Our Review of the Flores de Verao (2020)

This white wine is made from Fernão Pires, white grapes that are grown throughout Portugal. Fernao Pires are known for producing wines with strong aromas with spicy and fruity notes.

How and when to drink / taste
The Flores de Verao has a strong floral scent with zesty and bright flavors of various orchard fruits. Apple, Citrus and herbal/spicy qualities really shine with this white wine.
The winemaker suggests pairing this wine with chicken salad, seafood, sushi, pork, green salads, or appetizers (that include strong cheeses and salty meats)

The Costco’s Hello Wine Sampler (2021) is $49.99, which is around $4.00 per 375ml bottle of wine.

The Bottom Line
We rated the Flores de Verao (2020) from Costco’s Hello Summer Wine Sampler (2021) 3.0 Stars (out of 5)!
This white wine was zesty, giving off bright apple and citrus flavors. There was a strong floral aroma which added to the experience. For some of our tasters though, the flavor was a little too tart, but we could see how this wine would pair well with either seafood or salty dishes.
