During this past year, I think all of us have gotten at least a little bit of cabin fever (can I get an “Amen”?). For me, I have dreams of one day going to far off places to eat and drink and see the sights and sounds. But in the meantime, tasting different foods from around the world from home has been a little way to satisfy my appetite of travel.
One of those places we want to go to is France. If you’ve been, you can understand when I say that you could probably just live off of the French bread, cheese and wine. C’est magnifique! In this post, we were inspired by our love of traveling to France and eating French food.
Below are our thoughts about Trader Joe’s Blue Shell Sauvignon Blanc from the south of France.

Our Review of Trader Joe’s Blue Shell Sauvignon Blanc

This “luscious” white wine with a “refreshing maritime influence” (per the label) is made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
Origin
This Sauvignon Blanc wine is from the South of France.
Alcohol Content
12.5% ABV
Appearance
This pale yellow white wine is contained in a standard 750ml bottle. The labeling has a sophisticated design of blue sea shells, harkening to its namesake “Blue Shell” as well as how this wine is from the Mediterranean coast.
The wine has a cork closure.
How and When to Drink
Enjoy glass(es) of this Sauvignon Blanc a little bit chilled, making it perfect with on a warm summer day.
One can pair this refreshing crisp dry white wine with green salads, seafood or a nice cheese plate. We tried this with Trader Joe’s mini baguettes (which are pretty good themselves) and we were whisked away to France.
Taste
According to the label, Blue Shell Sauvignon Blanc has “intense fruit flavors enhanced by a bright, savory and mineral finish”. As a result, it “pairs perfectly with seafood or toasting the setting sun.” C’est la vie!
